The new management is genuinely enthusiastic about improving the hotel experience.
The absence of central heating made for a very uncomfortable night's sleep in the chilly December air.

The comfort level was next level! I slept like a baby on the most plush bed, could easily get used to that! the surrounding views were soothing, perfect for winding down after long days on foot.
To top it off, I was kept awake by rowdy guests in the corridor. Breakfast was a letdown—just soggy cereal and cold water for coffee. A right hassle all around!

The views from the hotel room were quite serene, showcasing the surrounding countryside's natural beauty. The bed was spacious, at least, even if the mattress left something to be desired.
Temperature control was nonexistent. the room felt like a freezer without central heating, and the electric heater barely worked. Hot water was a gamble, requiring patience and precious minutes waiting for a trickle. The breakfast was slim pickings at best—just soggy cornflakes and toast paired with lukewarm water for coffee, leaving much to be desired. Nighttime was interrupted by noise from the hallway, which cranked up the frustration factor, especially as the lock on the door felt shaky enough to invite concern. The overall offerings don’t match the price point at all. it's a shame, really, as it shows potential but missed the mark on key basics.

The building has a charming old-world feel and
the peaceful surroundings were perfect for unwinding. The management, having just taken over, are enthusiastic and accommodating. Although not everything was running smoothly yet, my stay was enjoyable overall. Improvements are needed, especially in dining options, but it shows promise.

The new management is welcoming and eager to improve the hotel experience, making efforts to ensure guests are comfortable. The rooms are spacious, with ensuite facilities that smell fresh and clean. The peaceful location offers a perfect retreat for nature walks, while light snacks like toast and cereal are available at night—an unexpected bonus. a full breakfast option is yet to be developed, and the absence of a café and bar is noticeable, limiting evening amenities.
